Central Equine Vets uses cutting-edge technology and camera equipment to examine the mouth of horses, ponies and donkeys in order to gain a better assessment of the teeth. This equipment enables our vets to investigate problems such as tooth fractures, diastema (gaps between the teeth) and peridonatal disease, infundibular caries, soft tissue damage and dentinal defects at the time of appointment, live on our digital screen. Complicated oral conditions can be visualised and captured for further investigation, giving our vets the benefit of being able to make a considered diagnosis and enable the next stage of the treatment where required.
Our equipment is mobile and can be brought straight to your horse's stable and the procedure is performed under standing sedation. The oroscope enables a very thorough and detailed visual examination of the oral cavity and occlusal surface of the teeth, to ensure the highest standard of dental care for your equine.
